IG @rebeccadunnart TikTok @rebeccadunnarts Rebecca Dunn Contemporary Artist This collection is a reflection on what we cannot control, watercolors are left to their own devices, flowing and growing as they wish, after their foundation has been laid, Rebecca reclaims the work, laying in geometric shapes and structures, just as she tends to her mental health by her daily practices of meditation, getting outside, eating healthy. These frameworks that aim to add structure to our lives but are also interrupted by the constant change and demand of modern life. Bio I developed a deep sensitivity to color and composition though my mentorship with renowned artist Phyllis Shafer in Lake Tahoe CA. I continue my education through my daily art practice and taking new workshops. My work evolves and grows with every piece I make, learning from the last and applying that knowledge to the next. Through my work, I aim to create a sense of calm and openness—art that feels lived in, approachable, and meant to be shared. In addition to my studio practice, I teach workshops, I'm a board member for the Katonah Museum of Art Association and the Katonah Art Walk I'm an active member of Yellow Studio Ridgefield Guild of Artists and Stamford Art Association My work has been exhibited in galleries across the country, and I remain dedicated to continuing my art development and education. Alongside my studio practice, I’m passionate about building community among artists. I created IG @artscene.ctny to highlight and share art shows happening in the Westchester and Fairfield areas. |
