The Ridgefield Art Walk kicks off on Friday, August 22, 5 to 8pm, with artist meet and greets outside the stores. Opening weekend continues Saturday, August 23 from noon to 4:00pm
This beginner’s Encaustic Photography Workshop is a great introduction if you have never worked with encaustic wax before or if you’ve worked with wax but haven’t tried incorporating photos into your work.
During Rebecca Dunn‘s, 2.5 hour, hands on workshop, each participant will have time to work on 3 of their own photographs that have been mounted to 5 x 7” wood panels. The workshop will focus on prepping your photos properly, layering the wax on, adding color, and techniques for making texture, as well as where to find materials.
